Liposculpture of the arms is designed to improve the appearance of the upper torso. Most patients will no longer have to worry about sagging of their arms and will feel confident wearing sleeveless tops and tight tops. 

Best results are achieved when liposculpture of the arms is combined with liposculpture of the sides and back of the chest.

To achieve the best results, and the quickest recovery, the patient shall have to wear a firm-fitting, wide sports bra to apply pressure to the chest area.  Compression garments will also be applied to the arms.

The appearance of a patient who undergoes Liposculpture of the arms will keep improving for the first six months after surgery.  Some tightness of the arms may be experienced.

Advantages
The specific advantages of liposcupture to the arms are decrease in arm size, decrease in sag of the back of the arm and better definition of the muscles of the arm. Recovery is usually rapid with most people achieving a good result by the end of the first month.

Disadvantages
The specific disadvantages of liposculpture to the arms are the possibility of persistent skin laxity at the back of the arms, the possibility of unevenness and persistent swelling. 
Some  patients find that the skin on the back of the arm does not tighten after their liposculpture. If skin tightening does not reach expectation, gentle massage and the use of lasers will usually help. A repeat liposculpture may be required.
Some patients become concerned about unevenness. They may notice that one of the arms becomes flatter than the other side, they may also notice some areas that are not smooth, finally, they may notice lumpiness. All of these problems will improve with the passage of time and an exercise program. A repeat liposculpture may be necessary.
Some patients become concerned about persistent swelling of the arms. This will usually settle with the passage of time plus an exercise program.

Costs
The basic costs of liposculpture to the arms involve an operating theater fee of $1800 plus a garment fee of $200. The operation fee ranges between $3000 and $6000 depending on the number of areas operated and the likely operating time. All fees are inclusive of GST.
